Recent Happenings

Well its that time again for another update!

Not a lot has been going on over here in our neck of the woods but I will fill you in on all the little things that have happened.

Anthony started working full time with a general contractor named Buster, he is getting to work on the Lodge thats on the property where we live and he literally just has to walk down the hill we are on top of to go to work. He is really loving working for Buster and learning new things! 

I worked at Dollar General for a whole day lol! I realized that, thats not really where I needed to be working not only because of the environment there but because of the hours; it didnt really seem like it would work once our internship kicked off. I know have a job at Tangent Outfitters/Cascade Deli right down the road from here. It is owned by people who go to Dwelling Place. I am really excited about what God has in store there!

Last week Anthony got to go to Atlanta, for a day, Daniel (Latshaw) got him a deal for free tires for our car which we could not pass up! Daniel returned with Anthony for the weekend and Anna and the girls came on Monday on their way back from visiting Anna's sister Bryony in Pennsylvania. It was so wonderful seeing the whole Latshaw family again we had missed them so very much! We had a lot of fun with them, we took Rick's 6 wheeler up to the top of the mountain thats on the property and got lots of great pictures!

We Finally Made It!

Well we are finally here in Virginia!

We have been so busy unpacking and getting our new home in order (which we still have not finished). There are so many emotions right now. Peace because we know this is where the Lord wants us. I (Brittney) have been feeling a little sad knowing the time that will go by between seeing all of our friends and family back home. And definitely some excitement for what God has in store for us!

Everyone in the Howard home is adjusting to this move some quicker then others. Baloo for one knew this was his new home almost the 2nd day! Oh to be a cat!

Sam on the other hand is having a tougher time adjusting he doesnt really like for Anthony to leave so we have decided to crate him when we are gone until he is fully adjusted. 

Anthony is already out and about with new friends! He went to play golf today with one of them!

I am comforted knowing that the Lord has so many brothers and sisters coming our way to help us and lift us up in this new chapter! 

My parents came up to help us move in and spend some time with us, they were such a big help! Who knew a truck could be unloaded so fast?!

The time spent with them was such a blessing and I was sad to see them leave, but its not like I am never going to see them again :) they are always there for us that I know!

Anthony and I took the day off to explore/drive a little! We love driving adventures they are always the best! We wanted a day of rest and to spend time together just the 2 of us! On our drive we found the place where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed, it was a pretty neat thing to realize hehe.

But what really made our day was all of the beautiful views, scenery, and nature that we got to take in! This place just takes our breath away!

We also got to go to our friends April and Shane's bible study on Tuesday night, which we will probably continue doing until the internship kicks off! God is really amazing He used Shane and April to really answer some questions we were having that exact day! AH-MAZING!

Well we still have some organizing and unpack to do, not to mention some uploading off the camera to keep every one updated!

The Howards Happenings 

The Most Recent Happenings...

A few weekends ago Anthony and I went to the Latshaw's lake house at 

Lake Hartwell with some of the people from our bible study including Daniel

and Anna and the girls! We had a lot fun and a great time of fellowship!

Anthony and I are now getting pretty excited about moving, only

8 more weeks really! We cannot believe it! Please lift us up in prayer during 

these next few weeks, we truly need to trust God completely!

Good Times with Great Friends!

We had such a great day Sunday! We went up to Lawrenceville, Ga with the Latshaw's to go to Ihop (International House of Prayer) for church. Then later on in the afternoon we went on a walk on a Chattahoochee Nature Trail! It was a lot of fun and great to get out in the beautiful Spring weather, we did however get lost for a bit, but it makes for a great story to remember!

Beautiful Paradise

This weekend Anthony and I are in two separate places. Sad but this trip to Pensacola, Florida with my dad was a much needed vacation. I love Pensacola. It really has a special place in my heart. I basically grew up here, at least in the summer, every summer. 

My dad is dropping the puck at Pensacola's hockey team the Ice Flyers game tomorrow night. I get to walk out on ice with him! And then on Friday the whole hockey team will be the servers at Surf Burger and all tips will go towards the Ronald McDonald fund. :)

Dad and I get to stay in the new Holiday Inn Resort on the Beach! We are the 1st guests in our room! Here are a couple pics of the surroundings of where we are staying!

I will post more photos tomorrow or the next day of the Hockey game and all the festivities surrounding it!

What a complete blessing! Today we got an email with a picture of one of the children we sponsor through Hands of Love with her Christmas present! I truly love the 2 children we sponsor, they each have a piece of my heart! This is Florence:

Oh how these pictures bring tears to my eyes! I love this princess of the Lord sooo very much I wish I could hug and kiss her daily! She is so beautiful a sweet daughter of God!

There was not a photo of Ivan with his Christmas present from us but I assure you he completely and totally adorable! :)

Being able to be apart of this ministry in helping children in Uganda is amazing for us! We dont yet have children of our own and we are totally blessed to be able to give and to provide a better life for these two beautiful children of God! I hope and pray that one day we will be able to visit Uganda and we will be able to hug and love on our kids in the physical oh what a Joy that day will be!  If you would like more info on Hands of Love and sponsoring a child please email us and we will give you the necessary links and contacts!

Trip to Virginia

Virginia will soon be a place you all will be hearing a lot about!

We are very excited about our next chapter in life, but we are also trying to not plan ahead 

or focus more on the future then what God has in front of us right now. He has so much for us!

We recently went on a trip to Blacksburg/Christiansburg, Virginia; right around the Virginia Tech area. We stayed with our friends Shane & April and got to meet some amazing people and just feel the peace and confirmation that this is  where the Lord wants us come July!

It's Official!

Well,

It is official now! We are moving to Virginia this July!!!!

We were waiting until both of our parents were told to make it known! 

We will be participating in a 2 year internship at a church called Dwelling Place in Christiansburg, Virginia! We are very excited about this new chapter in our lives and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for us! 

Please join us in praying for this new adventure, we have some financial needs to be met before the move, but we are believing that God will provide all that we need!
